I'm watching this battle with Rider and just amazed at this guy. Somehow simultaneously I actually hate South Carolina even more yet also, for the first time in my life, actually feel sorry for the guys in the SC uniforms. One poor choice shouldn't mean a year of that a**hat screaming in your face. He's been in town only a few months and they've had to bench a player for impermissible benefits. Self absorbed a**hole with an anger management issue and a stated disregard for NCAA rules. What could go wrong for a school already on probation?

How about if you are gonna talk crap know what you are talking about. To say you dont like that he is in the players face that is fine but to call the man a cheater is a lie. What happened with the player happened while he was an exchange student, nothing to do with recuritment. Show any facts that he has cheated or shut up

Miami High was fined $2500 and forced to reimburse more than $5000 in expenses incurred during the FHSAA's investigation. Five players, including [Udonis] Haslem, were barred from ever playing for Miami High again. The school was required to return the 1998 state championship trophy. Head coach Frank Martin (lauded in the Herald article) was fired, along with the school's athletic director.
"This is one of the most, if not the most, blatant violations of FHSAA rules against recruiting that I have encountered in my seven years as commissioner of this association," said Ron Davis when he handed down the penalties in August 1998.

I listened to him myself, in his own words, while commentating the NCAA tournament say that if it comes down to following the rules or doing what he thinks is right he is going to do what he thinks is right every time (obviously I'm paraphrasing). He wasn't speaking in some broad, religious sense. He was talking about the cash money he paid to a Miami high school player. And it was, without question, an NCAA violation - whether you think it was the right thing to do or not. He was being floated as the possible coach for South Carolina at the time and I was fairly surprised it didn't become a deal breaker for a school just wrapping up an NCAA investigation. But, I guess an AD with one foot out the door had no reason to talk anyone on the board with a boner for Frank Martin out of a terrible decision.
