the Elite 11 MVP and rated 4 stars, only officially visited South Fla, NCST, and Kentucky? He sounds like a heck of a player, but those choices are odd.

He has offers from BC, cinc, duke, conn, indiana, ole miss, syracuse, pitt, wf and a few more. Likely to get official clemson offer on his trip.
Sounds like a great kid. Lucky to get him.

a better looking list than that. Makes you wonder what's up?
What's up with that, what's up with that. Oh sorry, I had a flashback to that Saturday Night Live sketch for a second there.

Wow! Ole Miss offered him. Don't they offer everyone?

I hear they have lots of potential ---- potential to not be at the bottom of the SEC west --- just above Arkansas or Miss State.

I wondered the same thing and this is what I read online. He pay WR in high school until his junior year. So he has had 2 years experience as QB. Also his high school team had no pass protection and no WR to stretch the field. So his talents really have not been fully Shown on the field. His father says he is more of a pocket passer that scrambles when he has too. It sounds like he did a lot of scrambling in high school. I guess some will call him a project. The tools are there, arm strength and running ability. He needs to learn how to read coverage.

Why would that not be ok? What has Chad Kelly proven?

Aside from running his mouth a lot, he hasn't done anything here yet.
Also, there's nothing wrong with having depth at QB. Let them push each other.

Thimgs have changed. Now everyone evaluates soph talent. Late bloomers, position changers are overlooked. However, skills and talent need to be rewarded with a scholly. Props to our coaches for recognizing potential. Also, refreshing to see a kid who 'loves' Clemson. There are more and more despite all the SEC hype machine. I see significant SEC backlash coming soon. Americans always pull for the underdog chasing the lead dog. Just saying SEC homers.

1. Teams get there qb very very early lots of time there soph (d watson) or junior year. Teams didnt really know about him until the summer of his senior year
2. He is super raw has terrible footwork and throws odd. He however has huge upside robert griffen type player. Prob gonna need a redshirt and a year on the bench before he is ready lots of team want there qb polished
Either way perfect for Clemson we are not gonna need a qb next year and the year after that he can compete with kelly for the job and Waston if he sticks around

All of us know an athlete when we see them. After 10 minutes of chatting we know their intellect level. Put 2 and 2 together. It isn't rocket science figuring if you can 'work' on making them into a complete player. Heart and commitment are the final ingredients. Football or life in general. All the same. If Dabo recruits Clemson men. Nobody should worry.

I'm just surprised a 4 star QB who won MVP at the Elite 11 doesn't have better offers.
Very few knew about Johnny Football. Everyone should know about this kid after the Elite 11 showing.

That seems to be how some are operating this year. Either off 249 like Ole miss of check CU's offer sheet and chase them down.
