She is an unbelievable player. If she does not get some Most Valuable Player Award outside of Clemson, they need to discontinue it.

So I looked up the stats. Unfortunately there are a bunch of people with stats just as good, or better than her. It honestly blew my mind. In my head I was thinking “she has to be at the top in some categories.” One thing that does give her the edge is that she has really good hitting numbers as well

ACC player of the year seems likely. If not it’s a crime. Now nationally softball is SEC, Big12, Pac12 territory. As a freshman I doubt she has sufficient media support for any national award they vote on. If there are coaches related awards I think freshman of the year is a strong possibility.

I’m not sold on the Big12. I know OU has crazy power #’s and crazy offensive #’s, but who are they achieving those numbers against? If you look up ERA’s, OSU is #6 (right behind Clemson), OU is #9, no other Big12 team is in the top 50 of ERA.
