VT tickets

Sep 26, 2017, 8:10 PM

I'm trying to purchase two tickets for the game. An individual on Craigslist has two he will sell me but he wants me to pay him via Square Cash, which I have never used, and then he will transfer the e-tickets to me.

How safe and reliable is this? And transferring tickets, is that possible?

Is there a way to verify the tickets. He says they are from Ticketmaster.

Don't Do It

Pay a few bucks extra and get them from a verified T-netter or on a major site that offers a guarantee.

Square cash is legit, but never buy tickets off craigslist! There is no protection from getting fakes. It’s way too likely that he has pdf tickets, and is selling multiple copies on Craigslist. The first person to the gate with those tickets is the only one who gets in.

It’s the same risk as buying a pdf ticket outside the stadium from a scalper, except you don’t even have a face to put to the person who robbed you.

Squarecash is a company that doesn't insure your purchase.

Tell him you'll meet in person and exchange at the gate or you'll pay with PayPal. That'll answer your questions.

There's something in these hills.

Thanks for the input. I was thinking it was a scam, but was hoping that maybe it was somehow legit.
