VT fans comparable to Coots...

in many aspects. This morning they are crowing like I haven't heard since 2011. Wipe the dust off the flags and magnets, they're back. Many have said at work this morning that they are going to Orlando, it's their bowl game. They can't wait to ruin our season, etc. The atmosphere in Orlando will be bland, 50-50 crowd split, maybe a slight lean to VT as many of us will be saving money for Atlanta and Tampa. A crowd of 35,000 at best. Please let us win out and beat the Hokies.

I've been to two games involving VT and didn't run into a single "bad" fan. That's the best fanbase in the ACC......behind us of course.

Idk in 2007 I sat behind this jersey wearing drunk VT fan. It was pretty bad. Yelling and cussing pretty much like in your face Clemson fans. No respect at all. It was an upsetting game as it was.

At the ACCCG in 2011 I had my two girls with me in Charlotte and had a great experience with all their fans save one , a drunk VT student sat behing us a couple of rows up and got nastier as the game wore on .
He was actuall throwing things at one point in the third quarter and security was alerted .
Believe he might have finished the game out in his parking lot .
His friends were embarrased but stayed to the bitter end .

Do you live in VA? They rip down their house flags after losing to UT, put them back up after a win over UNC. They talk so much trash to us Clemson fans who live here. I'm in Hampton Roads and it's awful. Very comparable to USC fans, maybe worse!

I know how you feel. I lived in Louisville for the past 3 years and dealt with Cards fans on a daily basis. Fan bases are different when you live in their territory. The Louisville fans that come down for our games are the cream of the crop, as I'm sure is the case with VT fans, but the everyday interactions are rarely as positive.

The crowd is going to be 80% clemson. Clemson fans bought up all of the tickets as soon as they went on sale. VT fans are JUST NOW realizing they are going to Orlando and pretty much all of the tickets were sold out.

There are a few Vtech fans here at work and they seem pretty cool. And of course they are going to say they are going to ruin our season we would be saying the same thing if we were in their shoes. And as for Atlanta better hope for a Bama loss cause right now we are headed to the desert of Arizona.

Ive never met a VPISU fan that was respectable of anyone .... and I know plenty of them. I live closer to Blacksburg than Clemson. I have one 'friend' who is a Hokie and every time the tigers win (often) he calls me up and says "GOD I HATE CLEMSON"! Only the two Carolinas are worse with the Wolfies a runner up!

I disagree . From my personal experience, Va Tech fans are great to be around and show a great deal of respect for Clemson University and our fan base. I would put them behind only FSU on the "good fan-base" scale.

They are an improved football team that can be dangerous but they will lose to Clemson in the championship. I know lots of VT fans and everyone of them realize they stand very little chance to beat us.
