“ The AD room now hones in on straying from the ACC’s decades-old policy of equal revenue distributions. The most likely model would earmark new television dollars from the expanded College Football Playoff for the conference’s leading football and men’s basketball programs.”

Why would the top men’s basketball programs get money coming from football? Sounds like same ‘ol ACC.

To be clear, I don’t want to be in a conference where unequal revenue sharing is even needed.

All I hear is a bunch of BS that means the ACC is not changing and that Clemson will get an additional $5 gift card to Starbucks. All of that coming from an AD that is running scared. "Maybe we can be a strong third place" among conferences. In other words we have no way forward just hold your nose and take your medicine. Time to move on to plan B.

Couple that Starbucks gift card with the Pigskin Prophet's Burger King coupons and to pot gets sweeter.

If Neff doesn’t get Clemson out of the ACC within the next 2-3 years, he has failed at his job. It’s complete negligence and dereliction of duty to not do what’s best for Clemson Athletics. The ACC will become the next Sun Coast Conference.

I can guarantee that FSU will buy its way out of the GOR, even if they have to do it on their own.

I do worry about an AD aiming for 3rd place in anything.

I don't think that comment is going to resonate that well with Hokie Nation. Outside of that, he's definitely in the hunt for more but also willing to sacrifice for the party line, at least according to his public comments today.

I'm kind of shocked that no journalist has asked the question about numbers needed to disband the league altogether. We only get numbers needed for alterations and renegotiations within and such. Maybe I've missed it.

I've engaged with that writer David Teel a few times over the years. Good guy and old school, maybe a touch too much ACC basketball influenced. I'm 2-0 as I recall in our bouts - each arguing about 8 or 9 game ACC football schedules when it came up when Cuse and Pitt entered and more recently with the ACCN / ESPN / GOR deal.

My takeaway from this week's meeting - a lot has been put on the table, nobody from here forward should be unawares, and who knows what is going to happen next with the ACC or its members. We will be rock solid regardless. What Dabo has done this past decade has everyone in the leadership chains fully and 110% All In on what success in athletics can truly deliver a large university like ours. It's spilled over into academics and investments, partnerships - you name it.

Go Tigers!
