WATCH: Syracuse coach Dino Babers reacts to loss against Clemson

Syracuse head coach Dino Babers held his postgame press conference following his team's 17-14 home loss to No. 25 Clemson on Friday night. “Obviously, we are disappointed," he said. "We are going to have to deal with that. It’s going to take a little longer to get over it (close loss to Clemson)." Read Update »

Watching the game last night I noticed something. (Yet again as I’ve noticed it for a long time) Dino Babers, who I have tremendous respect for, seems to do his job as he should.

While Dabo is on the other sideline frantic, play card in hand and running around like a chicken with his head cut off, Babers is as chill as he can be. He LETS his offensive staff do their job without interfering. I imagine his feedback is given when it’s needed but it seems that he TRUSTS his coaches. (Which they’re quite good might I add for being the least talented in the ACC)

It’s obvious Dabo feels the need to “cut in” all the time. If that’s the case, he needs to find someone he doesn’t have to do that with. Or if Elliot is that guy, which I highly doubt, leave him be and let him coach. If he can’t, find someone who will. It’s obvious changes are needed at multiple positions, but sooner rather than later would be key.

Go Tigers!!

I've noticed that he cuts in on Coach Venables on a regular basis during timeouts. It appears that Coach Venables accepts it or works around it. Perhaps they've been around each other long enough that they prefer to work in this manner.

And guess who's built a national championship contender the last 6 years with 2 National championships and guess who has had 1 winning season in 5 years. Dabo and Venables seem to work together just fine. Dabo respects him enough and made him the highest paid defensive coordinator in the country.

I really like Dino, while I'm glad we won, I wish he had a little more success. I can see why his players seem to love him. Their freshman rb Tucker is a stud. He is going to be great and I think he will be a good NFL player. That said, Let's go Big Cats!! Haha, Dino saying we were big cats made me laugh!

I just wish Syracuse would hurry up and fire him so we can bring him on our staff.

Bring him on our staff to do what exactly. I will say this on the side of Dino Babers, as a HC that has done some of the things that he's done while at Cuse, and with the lesser talent than about everybody in the ACC, if Cuse was to fire Dino, that would be the biggest brain dead move that their administration could ever make.

But if they do let Dino get away by them firing him, or he's had enough at Cuse, he won't have any problems with getting another Head Coaching job, and he wouldn't under any circumstances come to Clemson as an assistant coach. He has proven that he knows what to do without the top talent that the teams he has competed against has. Programs needing a good HC, they know, and have seen what he can do with lesser talent!!!
