Vanilla Offense

Sep 4, 2016, 1:20 PM

Clemson played a very vanilla game on offense. Was it part of of the plan to not show all our cards early in the season?Auburn probably will have a top 5 defensive line by seasons end. Deshaun will play better in coming weeks. Folks Auburn played for the Natty 2 years ago. This game will help our Tigers!

I would term it more like "dookie brown"

So bland vanilla would be an improvement.

Guys, we ran 3 different plays las night 95% of the time. Renfro pass was exception, what a beautiful play all around. Gallman made a GREAT block on blitzing defender that gave just enough time for Watson to find Renfro, thing of beauty!!

I know DW only ran hard on one play last night.
With about 4 mins left a 7 yard run to get a first down.
Before that he gave up on his runs almost like he didn't want to get hit.

if I were the OP, which i'm not, I would give credit to

Kevin Steele for the job he did last night... they were prepared and played well.

much like his defenses did many times in the valley

I agree with the OP and thought the same thing when they chose to repeatedly not use plays that would move the chains. Our Co-coordinators are way to smart to think otherwise. They only mixed in a few select plays to make key plays, and then they would turn conservative again. I think they're saving some major showboating when we go to Doak. Gonna be fun to watch. Let's hope FSU falls for it.
