I think in Basketball, the ACC is waaaaaaaay ....

over-rated. UVa just lost ...Trivia ! I live in Virginia and a Fun Fact ! UVa is NOT well liked by most in the State. Without writing a book, they are like the DOOK of Virginia. Bunch of Self Declared "urban elite limousine liberals" They give PRIORITY to out of State applicants. Kids in their Home State have a VERY hard time getting in, but if from say NJ and deep pockets, come on down !

only quibble is the bit about out-of-state vs. in-state... 'cause that's nonsense

"In-state students were offered admission at a rate of 32.5% compared with an offer rate of 15.4% to out-of-state students.

The mean SAT score for in-state-students offered admission was 1,419; for out-of-state students, it was 1,466."

maybe i'm bad at fractions.... but 2/3 is bigger than 1/3 so in-state gets priority?

it's harder to get in from out of state... as it should be for a state/public school

i don't disagree with any of the rest of your post...UVA folks can be insufferable

I think it has been for some time...It’s truly been a 4-5 team race...UNC, Duke, Syracuse, Louisville...

UVA was the reigning champ

FSU was capable of doing the same last year had thre been a tourney. UVA and GT caught bad breaks heading into this tourney with COVID - they were at a big disadvantage. Clemson and VT games both went to the wire. UNC got blasted- only horrible showing. I would not be surprised if FSU goes deep in this tourney.

Down this year, but no reason to think it won't be great

again in the near future.

8 titles by 4 different schools the last 20 years. Louisville and Cuse each won one during that span but weren't in ACC when they won, so, didnt count.. Also, Maryland won one of the 8 before they joined the BIG.
