The Idaho Potato Bowl scenery is a pleasant reminder

Dec 15, 2012, 5:25 PM

of that cold, snowy morning in Boise brushing off our seats and watching more snow clouds blow intermittently across the mountains in the distance and arriving at the stadium in a few minutes

Great trip. Very ususual surroundings from the normal bowl game experience, but a journey everyone who went will probably tell you they thoroughly enjoyed. And the folks in Boise were very accomodating and polite....at least to all Clemson fans I've spoken with.

The wifely and I actually stayed several extra days and did the tourist thing....art museums, ghost mining towns, ski areas.

slopes in sleds. They were having a great time. Boise folks were gracious and the town was very clean. The field was covered in snow two hours before the game. The most comical thing was seeing Bowden's brother during warm-ups wearing shorts. Some townsfolk asked me if the guy was crazy. I told them definitely so.
