USC Signing Jucos

"The State" has an article this morning on the SIX (6) Junior College transfers the coots plan to sign - pictures and all! Two are already in school.
Now why would a high school senior want to sign with them knowing they are going to sign Jucos. A recruit out of high school can bust his butt trying to win a position or at least get significant playing time then find out Spurrier and crowd are bringing in Juco transfers at his position. Jucos are going to play, as they likely have only two years of eligibility. Every time, this will relegate some players recruited out of HS to the bench!

good: Jesse Hatcher, Jeff McCall and Johnny Rembett. I don't believe that I would bring
in more than a couple, a year, at the most. Most of them are busts and I suspect that most are not the type of kids that you want in your program . Cliff brought in several in the baseball program. Basketball and baseball are a lot different from football. I would certainly prefer high school football players.

Yes they count. They can bring in 22 player in this feb class.

in evaluating tallent or you would have no reason to go this route. With as much turnover as SCAR has, I would say that is the case.

and it doesn't look to me like they've done anything that will translate into significant improvement in either of those two areas.

Most of their players think they will be the exceptions to the rule and that they will be the ones who will start. They are sadly fooled.
