I remember I was sitting in Schilleter when the draw happened for the 2014 WC and we got the group of death. Ghana, Germany and Portugal. I hope we fair better this time.

Yea Poland would be a tough matchup. Lewandowski is too good. I got us put in Group A with Qatar, Serbia and Ecuador. I like our odds in that one. We would arguably be the best team in that group.

but coming off our best game of qualifying against Panama the game before, it's fine. I doubt it'll have any lasting effect. Getting to the World Cup was the goal, and we achieved it!
But, yeah, it would have been nice to win

Hard to get excited for an away match in CR when your only goal is not to lose by 6. Due to the FIFA rankings determining the pot placement there was no incentive to win.
Yes we could have done better in the first two group phases but the 2-0 to Canada was the only big blunder. The win against Panama finally showed they can win when it counts.
If we can get/stay healthy for the WC and avoid a horrific draw, I think we have a chance at advancing 1-2 rounds.
