Upstate wildlife today....Going 3 miles and back I saw

8 deer, 3 wild turkeys, 2 rabbits and a fox. Along with numerous birds, and tree rats (squirrels).
Didn't see a coyote or a bear yet...

At the old Clemson boat ramp....somehow they have turned that thing into hosting a major Fave Latthews Wand event??
I haven't seen it but it musta be nice over there now.

Nice ramp, nice docks, you just have to dodge all of the canoes/kayaks/paddle boarders.
Also, Your Pie is very good we've gone by boat twice now.

I walked out the side door this morning to have a staring contest with a six-point buck that was kindly mowing my grass. He just stood and looked at me with what appeared to be mild annoyance that I was disturbing his meal. We rarely see any coyotes, but see the coyote scat in the yard on a regular basis.

There was another one seen in Pendleton too. My dog chased an armadillo out of the backyard last week, so we've got those now too.

I see tree rats everyday but seldom enjoy seeing them.

Yesterday on the way to town I saw one sitting near the edge of the road kinda going back and forth to and from the center of the road. His/her/it's mate was laying dead near the middle. I felt so bad for the little critter I tried to do a mercy killing by running him/her/it down.
Life goes on for me and him/her/it though I know he/she/it wouldn't have shown me the mercy of killing me when I lost my mate.
