Updated RPI has us 5th now! Hard to believe we are that high

The highest RPI teams we have beaten thus far are Miami at 16th, Louisville at 20th and OhSt at 23rd. Let's beat UNCheat Tuesday, they are 10th.

That rating is more difficult to untangle than 50 ft of Christmas lights after an hour in a clothes dryer .

We’ve played one of the 15 toughest schedules in the country. Then SOR. A really good record. We’ve lost to 2 top 15 teams and 2 top 50. All of our losses have come away from littlejohn. I personally think our AP ranking is too low. If we beat unc and wake this week, we will creep into the top 15 maybe top 10 of AP rankings.

The teams Clemson beat early in the season have a lot to do with the RPI. Florida and Ohio State turned their seasons around and, despite their overall record, Tech has some good wins since the ACC is pretty deep this year.

Villanova and UVA are very solid teams, but on the whole, I don't see a 'stud' team or two that seems a sure bet to win the tournament. This year could be a fun one to watch unfold.
