ACC tourney means nothing..

To me. winning the regular season championship is the real accomplishment. It's not the big tourney, that's different.

And you can't compare the tourney to each conference mini tournament.

that it used to be that only the conference tournament champion went on to the NCAA tournament - I remember when the ACC tournament meant everything because of that. Now that several teams move on, the tournament championship isn't the deal breaker it used to be.

I remember one year, for example, when the two teams playing for the ACC tournament title were both in the Top 5 nationally and only the winner moved on to the NCAA's. Imagine that now.

Historically the tournament champ is the ACC champ. That said, a few years ago when we played everyone twice in conference I would have agreed that a regular season championship would mean more. But now with the unbalance schedule I think the tournament means more.

Maybe 1 year we will win it.....
