Doubt it'll happen if its going to be a downpour and wet all game. Hate the weather has to mess up one of the tune up games to get a better idea of the QB play

Honestly, coaches can tell a difference even if they hand it off all game. I am not an anti-DJ guy, I have just stated what I’ve seen on film; especially in the instant replays.
DJ needs to go through all of his movements faster to be in time with the rest of the offense. He is too slow putting the ball in the RB bread basket, making reads, going through his steps on pass and run plays.
I guarantee with Cade in the game you will even see holes open up more for the RBs because the DL can’t adjust as fast to make a play on the ball by the time the RB is making his cut to the hole. A fraction of a second makes a HUGE difference in the running game, especially during handoffs.

DJ doesn't read anything. He might at the library or in his dorm room but on the field his decisions are made before the snap. By all appearances the coaches took the option out of his hand by determining whether the ball would be handed off, passed to run by the QB before the signal was transmitted to the field.
I am re-watching the game right now, it's nearly halftime and he has yet to look a defender off.

to 'pad their stats against weaker opponents.' That's a quote from the years CJ could have gained another 2000 yards playing like Lamar Jackson and running up his stats after the outcome of the game was well decided and the opposing coach put backups in for experience.
So no, I don't see that happening. I can see him throwing the ball around and running at will but not padding his stats, that wouldn't save his job anyway. Why mistreat Furman for nothing?

I actually see a lot of Clemson fans on this forum echo that same sentiment...

Heisman voters are foolish to decide in Oct who the best player is. Lamar Jackson got his after beating the tarwater out of a team which was comprised of first year players due that being the school's first year. That embarrasses me and I had nothing to do with it.

Doesn’t that sound just like ESPN? DJ should not even play past Q1. DJ needs a big game against NC State or Louisville or Georgia. Nobody needs a big game against Furman. A big game against Furman means nothing.
