don't think i've seen that one before...
seems like if they called him for making the fair catch signal, they should have called the Wake player for bumping him after the catch.
(i didn't see that until today.. i was watching the Tigers-BC game  )

'deserved?' i'm sure many convince themselves that it is
but 'deserved?' that suggests that it's rational... and most opinion regarding other teams/schools isn't a rational decision; it's emotional
and a lot of it is entertaining
and some of the jokes are actually funny

remember a FSU punt returner field a punt some years back. Just nonchalantly walked up, caught the ball and stood there. When everyone was kind of mulling around, he took off, TD noles. anybody else remember??

where the returner acts like he's going to catch the ball, waving the fair catch signal, but he's not even close to where the punt lands
and there's been the recent returns where the whole return team acts like the ball is going to the other side of the field...
but i haven't seen the nonchalant approach before

...is that not a Personal Foul penalty on the Wake player? And if they didn't, how is that a Delay of Game penalty on the returner? Blown call either way.

QB acted like he was going out of bounds and decelerated only to speed up and turn up field. The next time he did that the Clemson player laid him out and got a penalty. If the intent of a rule is to protect a player from getting laid out while in a vulnerable position and they pull that crap the ref should just look the other way on the next real fair catch. What was that ATM qb's name?
