Agree there is a lot of bias in the polls, but this does not seem to be Exhibit A to me.
UNC's defense is horrid. Has played one decent team, assuming ND qualifies as that, and got soundly whipped.
Texas QB out since early in the Bama game. Yesterday was a closer version of what it can be than the team that played TTU. Plus, that was a historical demolition in a rivalry game.
Kentucky is being given a pass because of the QB. But this is much more questionable to me than Texas. Until he comes back they are not a good football team. It will be out for good soon though. UGa and UT will beat them soundly I would think. They may go from a high flyer to a losing season or 6-6 if he doesn't come back very soon.
Plus, the only poll that matters won't be out for 3 more weeks.

They played TT the week after an emotional loss to Bama. TT isn’t bad either. They’re 3-3, but they beat Houston who was ranked #25, and their 3 losses are a 13 point loss on the road against NC State, a 9 point loss on the road against a top 25 KState team, and a 10 point loss on the road against a top 10 Okie State team.
I’d say losing on the road to TT in overtime without their starting QB certainly does nothing to suggest that Texas isn’t deserving of being in the top 25.

You can believe whatever you want. James Madison is undefeated. James Madison has the #6 offense and the #2 defense. UNC has the #37 offense and the #123 defense. James Madison is pummeling opponents, and their average score is 44-17. UNC struggles to beat everyone, even bad opponents. And while the transitive property isn't the best, they beat App State worse than UNC did and crushed Middle Tennessee State, who dominated Miami worse than UNC did.
So record, stats, eye test, and transitive property all counsel JMU being ranked above UNC. The only reason to rank UNC above them is because you believe they'd win. lol.

I hate the poll bias but Cheats do not belong in top 25 with that horrible D. They made Notre Dames O look like a all pro team.
No way UK should be ranked either. They got beat two weeks in a row. UK fans should have burned down the stadium after losing to Coots.

A&M is the perfect example of money can’t buy championships, if you don’t have the right coaching staff talent is virtually useless in big games. Look at our teams that beat Bama, on paper we shouldn’t of even competed with them but we did. Don’t get me wrong NIlL will help these schools but it’s not going to automatically turn them into world beaters

UNCheat may not deserve to be ranked because of their defense. But, there is no doubt bias in the voters.
Historical greatness gets you some mileage; even if you aren't really good the season of.
Coach-Speak is: "points and records don't carry over"! Well, someone should tell the voters that.
If you "hang tough" and lose; to a team that's considered good, you get points "depending on who YOU are"!
Almost would prefer computers who won't care "what patch" is on your jersey where your conference affiliation goes.

3 things are holding UNC back from being ranked. A bad defense, no quality wins, and barely beating App State and Georgia State. The close win over App State wouldn’t really look so bad if it weren’t for the fact that they gave up 61 points.

This is an insane post.
UNC had nail biters against a terrible 2-3 Miami, 2-4 Georgia State, and 3-3 App. State. They lost decisively to Notre Dame. They have no signature wins.
Kentucky beat Florida and were undefeated until their star QB was knocked out of the game. Texas's losses similarly came because their star QB was knocked out. Every single person here should remember Texas was whipping Alabama up and down the field until Ewers went out, at which point they deflated. Ewers is now back, and in the first game back, won against Texas's most hated rival 49-0 and they outgained OU 585-195.
Texas with Ewers is a top 10 team, if not top 5 (I think I'd pick a healthy Texas vs. Michigan (and maybe us at this exact moment)). It would be a travesty if they were not ranked.
