The Ukrainian ambassador to the UN just read the final texts

of a Russian soldier to his mother before he was killed in Ukraine. If this is authentic (I suspect it is) it shows how a lot of Russians are probably unaware of what Putin is doing in Ukraine and the propaganda the Russian military fed their soldiers before they crossed the LD...

Ukraine has shown that they excel in propaganda

Not saying that this isn't legit, but Ukraine is killing Russia in the propaganda war. Notice how they've said that over 3000 Russians have died, and several hundred civilians, but they haven't mentioned anything about the casualties among Ukrainian fighters or destroyed materiel? I'm 100% behind Ukraine, but they are destroying Russia in the propaganda war right now. Remember the Ghost of Kyiv fighter pilot? Not real, and they have since pretty much admitted it. The 13 sailors killed on Snake Island? All or most are alive. It doesn't minimize what Russia is doing at all, but just saying that I don't know that we can fully trust what Ukraine is putting forth.

I do believe, from everything I've read, that most Russian soldiers have no idea why they're there and have no desire to be there. They have no stomach for this fight. I'd venture to guess that most of their families have no idea they're there either. Which is one reason Ukraine is doing so well. They're fully invested into this fight, and the Russians are not at all.

Russians in both the information warfare and psyops campaigns. I find it baffling that the Russians didn't take out most of Ukraine's communications networks during the first night of their air campaign. Either the Russians aren't good at targeting, believed Putin's BS about being liberators and saw no need, or showed they have a rather amateurish view of modern warfare. Either way - this was a huge mistake on the Russians part and is part of the reason the Ukraine has been effective at resisting this illegal invasion.
