NCAA Super Regional Schedule Announced

INDIANAPOLIS – The eight super regional hosts were announced by the NCAA Division I Baseball Committee Tuesday morning, and three ACC programs will host series on campus this weekend. No. 3 Louisville and No. 5 Miami will host Cal State Fullerton and VCU, respectively, while Virginia will face Maryland at Davenport Field in the super regionals for the second straight year. Florida State, the fourth league team to win its regional this past weekend, will travel to Gainesville to face rival Florida. The four ACC teams in the super regionals ties the league record, a mark now set seven times in the last 11 years. ACC teams combined to go 15-7 during the regional round. The determination of the Men’s College World Series order of first-round games for both Saturday, June 13, and Sunday, June 14, will be announced Monday, June 8. The ESPN family of networks and www.NCAA.com/cws will release the CWS game dates and times as soon as they are available. The 69th College World Series begins play Saturday, June 13, at TD Ameritrade Park Omaha in Omaha, Nebraska.
