I think coot fans may be moving closer to "maybe next life." Maybe next life, they'll be blessed and not born into a family of deranged chicken fans. Or get tricked into liking them by others still caught in the Coot Paradox.

Coot Paradox: The contradictory loop of unending enthusiastic loyalty vs. perpetual mediocrity, creating a Stockholm type syndrome towards their biggest rival that changes the coot's perception of reality to appreciate that mediocrity and live vicariously through other rivals they think are their friends.
