two times media guys irritated me yesterday

I saw the half time show when the analyst expressed his apparent disapproval of Clemson fans for rushing the field after the victory of Syracuse. I have to try pretty hard to come up with an excuse for someone who covers college football not being aware of the Clemson tradition of meeting at the paw. But here is my best effort. For a couple of years we were not allowed to meet at the paw because of covid precautions. Yep, I agree that is a lame excuse. They need to know about meeting at the paw. No legitimate excuse.
The other was when the analyst during the came compared the unnecessary roughness penalty on Syracuse when Cade was pushed as he went out of bounds to the play on Shrader as he was about to go out of bounds. Cade had tucked the ball and was a runner clearly running out of bounds. Any push by the defense at the moment he was going out of bounds was unnecessary. Shrader was headed out of bounds also but he was in the process of passing the ball while he was headed out and his effort to get the pass off should have been defended. In other words, the play on Shrader was necessary.

If you watch college football on Sat. like I do, one will notice that a lot of schools do it. Don't know why they like to call out Clemson. It seems they are looking for anything negative after watching a very tense football game.

There was no comparison! Klubnik had already taken 2 or 3 steps out of bounds before he was hit! Shrader was hit before he went out of bounds! That's a big difference!

Also Shrader took a dive to draw a penalty. there was no push of any significance by Clemson

Yep. It was not so much that they might have disagreed with the call. Those calls are often a bit marginal. It's that they took the time to put together a comparative analysis which they showed during the game and it was so wrong. In that case the refs should have been praised, if anything. It felt to this biased Clemson fan like they were looking for a way to criticize Clemson and that they were willing to sacrifice their integrity as analysts to get it done.

Regarding calls and non-call....why do they stop there. How about they go over all the holding non-calls in the first half?

On one QB run, he CLEARLY wasn't down, and he CLEARLY stretched the ball to the marker. The ref, standing right there, spotted the ball a freakin yard short. And they didn't overturn after a review? Makes you go, "hmmm". And like you said, the PI was as plain as day. Most definitely was there early and interfered. Then too, our DL was getting blatantly held.. no calls.
I just don't get refs sometimes. You really wonder if it's like the NBA and officials are betting on games, doing all they can to protect their wagers. Seems like you don't see this crap as much in other conferences either. I mean refs are human and bound to make a mistake now and then, but there definitely appears to be almost weekly funny business going on in the ACC.
Said it before and will continue to say it. There shouldn't be "conference" officials. You have a pool of guys that can work anywhere within a designated region.

Booger was either lying or got confused with another game. At no point did Syracuse dominate either side of the LOS. Booger is an idiot. Personally don't like that dude.
