i have a question...Is Sardi's Den and "Goobers" the same...

Jul 6, 2005, 7:59 PM

i see sardi's den on the very top, yet welcome to goobers at the door...i have only driven by and do not live down there, but this puzzles me........

Two separate places. Goobers is at the front, Sardi's is in

the back. You walk through the side door on the left side of the building to go into Sardi's. It's the Amen Corner of beer golf because those are very tough holes because they are so close. If you can get through those, you may make it back to the clubhouse.

Also remember to schedule these as the turn holes. It is crucial to hit these up in the 8,9,10, or 11 spot because of the proximity to the DT area. In other words, these two should probably follow the Mexican spots (Los Bravos in particular) as you sprint down the stretch to polish off the round in somewhere downtown.

Heres the deal.....

Goobers is the bar in the front with the door facing hwy 93. Sardis Den door is on the left of the building facing Central. Sardis was probably my most frequented restaurant when I was at CU. They have great ribs and chicken and you couldnt beat the all you can eat ribs on Tuesdays. That was five years ago but I imagine it is still about the same.

In my four years at Clemson, I never went to Sardi's.***

Sardis still has great food. They used to have an all you can eat crab legs night that you have to make reservations for they are so full. It's worth checking out. I never been to Goobers but have wanted to.

When I was at Clemson the Green Olive had an awesome

Jul 6, 2005, 8:46 PM

all-you-can-eat crableg night. I think it was Tuesday or something, but I think it was $11 bucks for all the crab legs you could swallow.

Of course they went out of business :)

The Green Olive buffet also always led to a huge all you can

of time. Should've stayed another year ;)

My mistake, all you can eat crab legs, not ribs******

Two separate places with very good food....

Sardi's is best for their ribs. Was at Clemson 4 years ago and they had a lunch special of ribs, fries, slaw, and roll for about $6. Probably has gone up but it is worth it.

Goober's has good burgers and bbq sandwiches.

Both are perfect spots to hit up for lunch during the week as they weren't too crowded and you could even sit outside at Goobers.

Man I'm hungry now.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I don't think I've had better ribs...

Jul 6, 2005, 10:04 PM

granted I don't eat ribs all that often, but Sardi's has really, really good ribs.
