I see a lot more businesses closing from people getting

the covid.

SC is seeing our spike now. Hopefully we can ride this thing out.

The conversation I had with a doctor the other day made a lot of sense.

This thing is like a brushfire that is going to sweep across the country where the dry broom straw is the people and the fire is the virus.

Where the straw is densest is where it is going to burn the brightest and hottest.

Then it will hit spread out places like SC later.

I like your funny words magic man

Evidently, covid testing facilities in SC are swamped.

A local golf course had an employee test positive for Covid, so they tested everybody. They were told the results would be available Monday, but those were not available due to a sudden "backlog" of tests awaiting results.

last week and were told that it would be five days before they got their results back. Both had cough and fever and both of them came back negative for Covid yesterday. The backlog is huge though

Owners & employees in the bar, restaurant & leisure sectors

Jun 16, 2020, 3:02 PM

Need to understand that their weakest link regarding Covid transmission impacts their business and public perception. The rate and degree of economic recovery depends on overall consumer confidence. Consumers’ vary from risk averse to acceptance of high risk.

In the big picture, these isolated cases are not a big deal but an increasing number of cases that close businesses dampens consumer confidence. Specific to the business, cases like this cost the owner and employees money.

Jun 16, 2020, 4:42 PM [ in reply to talked to a couple of bar owners in Clemson ]

Pete may be one of the few people left in Clemson who'd recognize me if I walked in the door.
