Two big games this week

@ Wake Tuesday and home against VT Saturday. Two more quad one games I believe. Wake playing very well and has won 14 straight at home. VT is always dangerous though they've struggled in the league so far. A chance to keep building on history and padding our resume. Not saying we win both, but I don't see a let down. That's the advantage to having a veteran core on a team. They know the grind well.
There will be nothing easy the rest of the way, and we've just reached the midway point of January. A looong way to go. But this team the last month has risen to every occasion. Different guys every night leading the way. I love it when we're good at basketball! No sport on campus we're more of an underdog. Enjoy it!

They have to move us ahead of most of them - beating Duke will get their attention. We were in the 27th spot in last week's voting.

Although I prefer college football, I have always thought there is nothing in football that can match a 10 - 0 run in a minute or two punctuated by a slam dunk and a timeout by the opposing team, particularly with a great play-by-play guy like Jim Phillips. It just gets louder and louder with each point capped by an explosion on the dunk. Football has plenty of ear shattering plays, but nothing that builds up quite like that.
I love havimg a good bball team on the court.

like baseball. There's a pause between plays and pitches. Basketball, since the 4 corners was done away with eons ago, is up and down. Things can change in a millisecond. Plus, it's indoors which traps the noise.

Another reason I love soccer and Clemson just happens to be very good at it. Non stop action. Love the Braves and Clemson in baseball but it gets hard at times to keep my interest.
Been a while since I watched a whole basketball game but dang there seemed to be a lot of tv timeouts. Seems to disrupt the flow.

I am definitely circling that Wake game as a potential first loss, as long as we play a close game it shouldn't matter too much, the VT game at home will be the main game this week, one that we need to win. Basketball is just one of those games, you're gonna drop a couple road matchups eventually...
