Is a Chemex-style brewer a good option for daily use?

Our Mr. Coffee auto-drip may be on the fritz and I'm looking at a ChemEx. My main concern is that I don't want to spend ten minutes of my weekday morning tending a coffee maker.

boils, take 5ish minutes to pour into Chemex, and let it drip through, fill up two 20oz. YETIs and take one on the way to drop daughter off at school, drink the other some time around 9:00 or so.
Yeah, it ain't hitting a button (TWSS) but it aint TOO Much work.
I think an electric kettle makes it even easier.

kind of enjoy the ritual. Takes a few minutes to do the pour. Good time to work on the wordle.
And you may have to address the blowouts at the bottom of the paper filter if you don't use the reuseable one. I had to rig a bent spoon to keep mine from blowing out.
It's a touch Gale Beotticher but coffee is the tittay.

Idk man, worrying about what form of coffee might be best or worst is for medical nerds. I’ll drink the distilled down black tar coffee that’s been percolating in the bottom of the pot at the nurses station for all of night shift, it’s hot, black, and free.
And because I feel like hijacking this thread instead of starting a new one, what in the name of all things holy was that megathread yesterday. I opened it and read the OP and noped out of here real quick.

Yea, a little bit of filtering, but the beauty is that you apply some pressure so you get a semi-espresso quality that comes from extraction under pressure. It's NOT espresso, but it's sorta like a half-step. Mine is around the house somewhere. Once I got a chemex, I never looked back.
