We all sign in to read and have some fun here.
So as not to just be a "lurker" am trying to do my part with this post.

Preseason polls are pure crap, so why can't I or you have one?
There are no real experts, just some nerd guys getting paid to write a column every day.
About a thousand media polls come out.

Unfortunately, the Coach's poll does have great influence on the season. I hate that, but it is true.

If I were King, polls would take up where the last season ended as schools won that ranking.
That don't happen, and polls are just guessing over beer. Blue Bloods always get the nod due to historic name value or because ESPN guys say crap everyday.

Some do a poll as to where they believe teams will end up. Some look at where they are today.

My poll will be as to "today". You can make your own rules.
My poll is based on crap I read in the media as to team strength and what I saw last season, not in 1950. I may be more informed than many "experts" as yall on Tnet keep me in the loop on all things.

1-- CLEMSON --> this is my poll and I am a homer. Teams I see near the top could all go #1 in any poll. While offense is the deal these days, defense still remains a deal. The Tiger "D" looks to be excellent. The "O" is seen by most as new, but it aint like 11 freshmen are lining up. Injury removed guys last season, but they are back. "Returning production" might fool some real "experts", but locals know experience is not a factor as to this team. Clemson is as much #1 by any standard as any team in the USA.

2-- Georgia --> has "on paper" the most talented team in 2021. They have 3rd string 5stars backing up the 5star 2nd team. The QB is proven, and is the best one they have had in years. The "D" line is solid, experienced, and as good as any (except Tigers) in the USA. The RB room is again loaded. Kirby has used the portal to great advantage. Finding any weakness in this team is just "nit picking".

3 -- Oklahoma --> has a history of less "D" but media says that it is better this season. The "O" looks to again be strong. Many "experts" pick this year's team to be the best in the nation. I don't know, but from my reading they do seem to be a threat to anyone.

4 -- Alabama --> may be the best team, surely that is the way most will bet. They have no weak points, but this team lacks the experience of past teams. Most "experts" have them #1, and I am OK with that.

5 -- I have run out of "beer on the porch" and may go on with this list the next time I am one over the line.
