FatherAdidas is in surgery now to have 4 brain tumors removed. He had a craniotomy about 13 months ago, so this one came sooner than expected, but these tumors can lay dormant and the go into rapid growth over the course of a week or two. I think this is the 4th or 5th craniotomy he's had in the past 25 years with a dozen or so GammaKnife radiation operations.

He's a tough hombre, and should come out alright. They just are never able to fully remove this type of tumor, so its always a waiting game for them to grow back.

Anyways, T's and P's are appreciated!

Dad's surgery went well.

They remove 4 tumors and did an MRI to see if they "got 'em all". I still haven't heard back on that yet, but we expect that they left some remnants. If that's the case, then that's okay. We'll just take it in stride get on with our lives.

He was in surgery from 10am to 6pm. They had to remove three sections of his skull. I was in his room at 7pm talking with him. He was ordering food and talking about how hot the nurses were. He was a little loopy (he would usually never be talking about nurses being hot), but all memory and functions were 100%!

It's really amazing how modern medicine allows such an invasive procedure to happen and then the patient snaps back to "life" so quickly. If you've never been around something like that, it's truly amazing.

Anyways, thanks for the T's and P's (and vibes). It is definitely comforting to know that I have fake internet friends looking out for me /s.
