Trying to remember a former players name...
Jan 2, 2014, 2:00 PM
|
|
Just saw some highlights of catches calvin johnson has made this season up in detroit, and I was wondering who the corner was that covered him back in 2006. I know we shut him down, and was wondering if maybe the cornerback did anything in the nfl in the future...
thanks!

Or possibly Tye Hill. Either way he didn't have a catch. Much better outcome than the 04 game. Most disappointing game lve ever attended (including fumblerooskie game in 88')

I remember the 04 game.
That one and the loss to BC (thanks to Matt Ryan) were similarly disappointing.

It was Duane Coleman that covered him most of the day, but that was the James Davis and CJ spiller show that kept the ball away from Reggie Ball and the GT offense.

Looks like we specified a boundary corner and a field corner then, which would leave me to believe that it depended on where Johnson lined up.

what an atrocious depth chart, more than half of those guys never amounted to anything and we had No depth on both lines

Starting O-line doesn't get much better than that, though. That could be nostalgia from watching CJ and James run roughshod over everyone.

It was CJ Gaddis

He had a pic of Johnson with him all week for motivation on time in Johnson's college career he was held without a catch. Gaddis was picked in the 3rd round that year just for that game.
