Trivia - Moses was low rent

Sep 22, 2021, 5:53 PM

It's BIG BIG day if you are a Mormon. Every religion has its key dates, like Christmas and Easter for Christians, The Feast of Sacrifice for Muslims, and the Day of Enlightenment for Buddhists.

In case you've forgotten, in Mormonism, Christ stopped by America on his way to Heaven. Well, pre-Columbian America. And what the Plains Indians call the Great White Spirit was in fact Jesus himself. Pretty cool. A truly American religion.

Anyway, all this was revealed to Joseph Smith in 1823, when he found something buried in his backyard in Manchester, NY of all places. Working with the Angel Moroni, he wrote the Book of Mormon, then returned the treasure to the angel who took it away. So sadly, there is no empirical way to validate his story, but that's what faith is all about. If you must have proof, you've missed the point entirely.

What was it that Joseph Smith found buried in his backyard?

Lakota Sioux Ghost Dance

Besides stupid gold plates that he couldn't show anybody, Joey the con artist found the link to the P&R board----->

I know you like your trivia, but this ish belongs over there. Please.

We have a winner! Congrats to Go_All_Tiger! You ROCK! (which is what Moses' plates were made of by the way, instead of gold)

I think religious debate belongs in P&R

not history or religious history in this case, unless you're joking.
