Tree House Barrel-Aged Maple Syrup

Three years ago we tossed some Very Dark Grade A maple syrup in a Buffalo Trace barrel along with some whole coffee beans and vanilla. Following three years of slow aging at cold temperatures, what emerged is an immensely complex accompaniment to your Sunday morning pancakes with notes of buttery maple bourbon, chocolate-like coffee, and whisps of vanilla bean.
