I thought about this yesterday while I was watching the Jags and this video just brought it home.

Here at Clemson, ETN just ran right by so many defenders - or made them hit him at downfield angles. In the pros, EVERYONE is quicker, so that he is getting tackled in a more normal way rather than from behind. He is still running well, but he is not running right by people anymore.

I still think he has more to offer if the Jags used him in even more versatile ways. I think Marrone will do so in the future.

He's 10th in the league in rushing and is average 5 yards a carry. He's doing just fine.

I agree, he is doing fine. He is just not busting those 50 yarders like he did at Clemson. My post is far more a commentary on how much faster & more skilled NFL players are than it is anything to do with ETN.

I think Marrone needs to trey top get him into open space more often next yuear.

Couldn't go wrong with either one. Travis - more rushing yards, CJ - more all-purpose yards.
