With the season over alot of kids hitting the portal today.
We have one a LB. I think Patterson?
Bama has 2.
Too many to list.
Something to keep an eye on.

Interest in high school players is already dropping fast. Especially the 2's, 3's and even lower 4's. Why bother running around looking for good players when you can just scout the portal.
One big name high school coach put it like this the other day- "I have 4 kids that under normal circumstances would have a dozen offers minimum. Right now a couple and i cant even get schools interested in seeing their tape, talking to them, nothing."
The kids that are going to have to fend for themselves are the ones outside the Top 250.

Which means they can go to a school, perform well, and then transfer up.

What about the 3 star kid that worked their tails off to build their body up and get good enough to finally start and be a major contributor who gets benched for a starter from somewhere else! You would hope they just beat out the competition - but are kids going to stick around long enough if they do not get instant gratification?
Things have changed and adaptations must be made!

The portal will totally change the landscape of football. If left as is, half the team will be recruited and half out of the portal. You could effectively never sign an O lineman and staff your entire O line out of the portal.

Already 33 added to portal just today alone and it's not even 2pm est. This will be an issue for sure.

Coots seem to think over on FGF they are going to fill their needs from the portal faster than a shopping cart at Publix.
