I have a copy. Perfect Sunday morning, read the paper, and sip on coffee listening.

I could have added Snarky to my list as well. Check out the song, Kite.

Nice list.
Not familiar with Michael Lington - will check him out.
I had long ago mentally relegated Glenn Miller to middle of the road, boring, old jazz. I recently threw on a copy of In the Mood and it really rips. Have to constantly reappraise.

Yep, I understand. I started mixing the big band songs into my everyday tunes.
String of pearls is a favorite .

Can’t really narrow it to five, but Thelonious Monk is in there.

Nice thread!
If I could only own 1 jazz album it would be Miles Davis' Kind of Blue. John Coltrane and Bill Evans are featured throughout.
I have Take 5 (Dave Brubeck).
One of my favorites is Digital Duke by the Duke Ellington Orchestra.
I have a couple albums from the Chick Corea band. He passed recently but made some great stuff.
I saw guitarist Jon Scofield play at Chicago's Navy Pier one summer. He's made some great music too.

Great list. Cornea’s Return To Forever (the album) could easily make my top 5 on the right day.

I like Jazz

I find that the older I get, the more Jazz I play. I have a decent collection of over 600 Jazz albums in lossless flac.-- I lost all my CDs and LPs.
I saw Dave Brubeck at the Clemson Field House. I play a lot of Chet Baker and Charlie Parker these days.

Sorry about your lost collection. Can’t go wrong with Baker or Parker. I’m sitting on about 4000 lps - probably 800-1000 jazz.
