I'm a fisherman!!! What did you expect? The story has been told 20 times so they're bigger. By tomorrow, they'll be 12 and 10 lbs.

you cut your 23" section to take home from just above the tail to where the body cavity starts.
You get more meat that way and it is easier to clean.

actually, had a pretty good day. Caught four fish around 3 lbs and about 10 close to 1.5 lbs. Saw a cooter with a head about the size of my fist and a shell about as big as my head.

makes me jealous, cept I am surrounded by south florida's prime bass fishing waters and got a pond full of tilipia a strones throw from my computer.
Some days I eat them raw on the spot, with my hands and teeth like a wild animal.

nice, you are living the dream.
ours are connected to fish eating creek in the rainy season, all less than an acre. All kinds of critters wander their way in after a thunder good storm.

I love it over at the pond. aprox. 46 acreas away from any roads, hunt deer, duck, dove, some quail, rabbits, fish, wood and open fields. so peaceful and quite. I hope my son loves and appreciates it as much as I do.

They should have been at my house while I was cleaning them. They wouldn't have cared to much for that scene.
