Tommy Two Gloves Gainey

I like this guy as a golfer, but I don't get why SC honored him out on the field for winning a golf tournament. He's a fan of the team, not an alum of SC. He didn't play for their golf team. They have had much more prominent alumni do bigger and better things that didn't get that treatment. Just my 2 cents.

I know Tommy and am from the same town. I am very proud of him and wish him nothing but the best. I wish he wasn't a coot fan though. His brother is smart enough to pull for the Tigers at least! My guess is this was more of a recruitment tool more than anything for scar. Recruiting athletes as well as fans. Definitely not a dumb move.

He is a good person and nice guy. Also a smart move by SCar, but I just believe there are other prominent alumni that should be honored well before Gainey. I do wish he was a Clemson fan as well. It is good exposure for their school to have him on the Big Break and then the PGA Tour sporting SCar every week.
