Tombstone game?

Big game that will set the tone for the rest of the season. Away game vs ranked opponent. Another one for the graveyard if they win. Take nothing for granted. WF is smart and well coached. This will be a battle. Hope we play relentless football. We are tougher than these guys. Time to show it.

Not convinced that we are an elite team. D.J needs to show consistency with the passing game and better decision making. Also, even though Dabo says Goodwin is a brilliant defensive mind, our pass defense stats do not show it. We should've been a shut down defense against the teams we have played so far.

As I think about it: "you 76er are correct in saying it should always be celebrated"! Winning isn't easy; especially if a team is held in high regard by voters and coaches!

That’s actually an interesting point. Nothing about #21 ranked Wake is “scary” to our team or our fan base, which is reflective of how crazy the sustained performance has been the past decade.
The truth is this IS a big game and it IS a big accomplishment to smack these teams around, it’s just wild how it feels so normal.

Years ago I was told that a Clemson coach could lose to Carolina, but a loss to Wake Forest was the fast track to getting fired.....I highly doubt that would happen with Dabo. Just Sayin' though.
