My green Gremlin got the 4 of us to Clemson from Kingstree loaded to the gills. The shocks would bottom out on every bump on I-26. 77 MPH top end!...downhill. Yeah, 4 guys in one Gremlin with stuff.

I get more of a nautical vibe from them - Titanic, Thresher, Kursk - avoidable catastrophes lost somewhere deep, needing intentional and directed effort to visit upon the wreckage.
