nc2a does it for varied reasons, mostly the extra home games i'd imagine. the acc's vote to 9 games didn't help many of the league teams either.
i can't wait till the nc2a, hopefully the playoff committee, does something to dissuade the practice. it's ridiculous seeing bama, florida, fsu, clemson, georgia, lsu playing these teams, but don't kill swinney over the epidemic.
we were winning 7 games with similar schedules; the program is better off. that does not mean we're where we should be.
we need to raise the bar. we need to beat scar; even .500 is more than reasonable.

i'd brag about it too when i'm selling my program; that's just good business. he has to continue to recruit, he has to continue to at least try and change the culture. he's paid to do so; if he leaves tomorrow, the program is better for it.

Throwing out FCS school's because let's be real here. Those don't mean anything.
Georgia 8-4, W
NC State 3-9 W
Wake 4-8 W
Syracuse 6-6 W
BC 7-5 W
FSU 12-0 L
Maryland 7-5 W
Virginia 2-10 W
Georgia Tech 7-5 W
South Carolina 10-2 L
This tells me we can't compete with a team that wins 9 or more games. I hate that Georgia got the injury bug because they seemed to be a 10 win football team. I hope we change that in the bowl game because there we will most likely see a 10 win team.
We beat 4 teams with a >.500 record. We beat 5 teams that will be going to a bowl (we beat a 6-6 Syracuse). How I see it is we had four good wins (I'll add BC to that list): Georgia (8-4), BC (7-5), Maryland (7-5) and Georgia Tech (7-5).

Clemson went 18 years w/o a 10 win season or Top 10 finish? You're not the tallest midget but you do have a midget of a brain.
We lost to the team who should easily win the Nat'l Championship, and we played them on a day they could do no wrong. Even on a down day when FSU is making mistakes like against Miami they still end up blowing them out 41-14. Their 2nd stringers would probably play for a BCS game.
The Noles are now back to the FSU of old amidst the hottest recruiting bed in the country, and the FSU of old had 14 STRAIGHT YEARS ranked 4th or better and we beat them only once in 11 tries b/c they were so dominant during that stretch. 2 teams accounted for over half of their losses during that time- Miami and Spurrier's Gators who had 6 of 12 seasons ranked 5th or better. You act like Spurrier should just be a cakewalk, which makes you an idiot. This ain't the f***ing coots of old. It's one of the best coaches in college history who has had 9 years to build up a program and put his stamp on it. The guy was used playing rivalries against a pair of the greatest teams of the past 25 years - the Canes & Noles - who were coached by elite HOFers themselves. Not to mention he's a little better conditioned playing in the SEC against stiffer competition than we are in the ACC. If this were the coots of old we'd be kicking their #####, but it's not. It's a new Clemson team facing an established Spurrier one. Hopefully over the next couple years we can narrow the gap to where we're splitting the games or can at least get above .500 against him, b/c even the greatest college team of the past 30 years [Canes] couldn't manage much better.

How many Clemson teams have been 10-2. Better yet, even during the 11 games seasons , how many were at least 9 wins BEFORE the bowl game ? Not many, so you and those like you should S T F U. It sucks to get beat by the Gamecocks 5 years in a row, but those of you calling for Dabo's job are crazy. Saturday night was my 32nd time attending the rivalry game and my 17th trip to Columbia. For many years, we owned the Gamecocks and I expected us to win every time we played them, so the last five years have been awful. But, many of you fail to recognize that these are the best teams in SC football history and they are a very good football team. For many years, we were just beating a bad team. Does that make it feel any better? No! However, our program is far better than it was under Bowden, we are recruiting better athletes, and this valley against the ##### will turn soon. It should have happened Saturday, but we made it impossible to win by not holding on to the football. Getting rid of Dabo would be a dumb move. He and this coaching staff will get this rivalry turned around and 5 years from now, many of you will have a very different view of our staff and program. I will probably be scolded and called names for my opinion, but I really don't give a ####. Just my 2 cents.
