I'm wearing a Clemson golf shirt and hat. The cashier says, "You're wearing the WRONG SHIRT."
I clear my throat and respond, "Excuse me?"
"I'm a UT fan AND my daughter goes to UT."
I look at her disgusting self-satisfied smirking face and say, "Sorry. I prefer winning."

I'd be proud too if my daughter got accepted to the University of Texas. It's top-notch with academics.
There is some other UT somewhere or other that pretty much sucks at everything, but I doubt the meant that one.

I live right outside of Knoxville and I've heard that a lot before each season starts. When it starts getting cold I mostly just get a grumpy look

I'm surprised she didn't say go BAMA. Very interesting fan base Vol Nation is. At lest 90 percent of the vols I know pulled for BAMA over us last year. I guess their love for the SEC trumps their hate for their rival and Lane Kiffin.

Here in NE TN, most people HATE Bama. That's about all I can agree with them regarding college sports.

When I told my coworkers I was going to the NCG last season, most of them said that they hated Bama. BUT.....they had to pull for the SEC team.
