10lbs of salt, all to feed 10tons of bada$$$ boys ready to show the world once again! Amazing how technical football in college is today versus the days of our 1981 championship! I often wonder what our guys see and think once they leave the crib for the professional world of football. I have my doubts that they are catered too nearly as much as they are within our program. Then....

Then...., The masses say these guys don't get paid for their services? Did you see the size of those shrimp? They are fed based on their bodily needs, meals catered to each individual! They are given a great education but they are also taught how to cook, how to prepare for themselves in life. But they don't get paid!? All of this legislation happening currently, I would bet that the masses of the govt voting for paying players don't even know that players are given monthly stipends! I bet they don't even know that players get additional money if they live off campus, that they get free healthcare that if you or I don't pay for then we get fined through taxes a minimum of $950. That if our student athletes get paid, now they have to pay taxes and now will the schools be obligated to tax them for all the tuitions, housing, utilities, healthcare, food, stipends, clothing, massages, use of facilities!

Govt getting involved in the monetary aspect of student athletes is the worst thing that could happen to the sport. I'm not necessarily opposed to student athletes getting more if your sport generates more but it needs to be uniformly implemented and not just ad hoc. It will then be treated as a business and kids not performing will be fired at will and kids not happy because coach made them lift weights on Friday evening will leave for another program! What a huge can of worms the govt will create once again!

Fingers crossed!!!! The NCAA can get ahead of this before the game we love is destroyed!
