Players "liking" the fact Streeter was let go says a lot.

Yep. Graham Coffey nailed it. How many times has Dabo hammered home that we have to hit the layups. We had probably 20 against SCar and all we needed was 10% to win.

One good year at TCU in the B12 and a 65 to 7 beat-down finale does say offense was dominating (for TCU). Sure Broyles is a nice feather. But we have taken coaches from Arkansas and sent them to SMU; nothing ended well.

Will it be different this time?

But BS had to go, no disagreement there.

And Jeff Scott just hit town. Swing for the fences.

Dabo righted a wrong.

He never should’ve promoted Streeter to OC last year. But to his credit, he realized it, let Streeter go, and replaced him with what appears to be a great offensive mind.

I’m excited to see what comes of this. I hope Dabo let’s him run the show and doesn’t micromanage.

I would say Dabo treats coaches much like players in that you will get your chance if you put in the work. It's different approach than Saban but it does create a lot of loyalty. I do think it cost us the game against Usuck and possibly a spot in the playoff so not saying it is right but I respect him living by his word.

This moves gives me confidence that Dabo is not as stubborn as I thought. He still has the fire to win. I would not be surprised if more changes are coming. Great move IMO. Got Tigers!

Hiring from within was a BAD idea

Jan 13, 2023, 10:48 AM

How many colleges have promoted from within and won at a high level?! Not many. If any at all. I screamed it on TigerNet last year that bring Goodwin and Streeter were HUGE mistakes. Goodwin took a top 5 talent defense and backed them into top 50 in a few categories and top 25 overall. I hope the lesson is learned. Follow the Saban model and hire the hot commodity as coordinators. High attrition rate, but there’s always a hot coordinator available.

I believe that a large reason Dabo promoted Streeter was to keep the recruiting class together. It didn't work out. It isn't a coincidence that he waited until the early enrollees were on campus.

For those who want Wes to get the shove, the defense was #5 in the nation (out of Power 5 schools) at stop-rate. Wes has earned another season.
