I could get behind either of those. I’ve had a dislike for the Panthers and their lack of Clemson drafts but it would be nice to have Watson playing near here.

If there is any city where the fans would support DW4 from the start it would be Atlanta. The Falcons know that as does DW4. I can see him and the team working to make it happen. Matt Ryan will be 37 in April.

Why would he go to Carolina?

David Tepper is as incompetent as Cal McNair. Deshaun’s been trying to get OUT of a situation like that for more than a year.

One good thing about it all, is that DW can squash any trade to anywhere he doesn't want to go. Just say no and show up to the Texans camps and practices and they either play him or pay him or do both.

There would have to be some sort of three way deal done for

the Dirty Birds to get Watson. I say that because, just like Watson, Matty Ice has a no-trade clause in his contract, and I cannot see him wanting anything to do with the Texans at this point in his career.

A cursory look at remaining cap space among NFL teams shows there are very few that can absorb 30-35 million per year for DW - the Falcons have almost no space to work with unless they release multiple highly paid players (like Seattle did with Bobby Wagner). The Russell Wilson deal was two #1 picks, two #2 picks, a #5 pick and 3 additional players. So who has the ability to give something in this range for DW? Surely not the Panthers. They don't even have a #2 or #3 pick for 2022 - already traded away. So they "offered" 3 #1's allegedly. This years and the the two years to follow. Seattle has all the picks and cap space. Many teams would like to have DW but very few have players or cap space to make it happen. Going to be interesting.

It would be sweet to see him go to Cleveland and take Baker Mayfield's job. I watched Watson and the Clemson defense violate the Sooners in Miami
