WITH THE WIN… Clemson is now 4-2 in one-possession games (decided by eight or fewer points) this season. Clemson has won 31 of its last 38 one-possession games since 2011, the highest winning percentage in the country in one-score games in that span (.816). Mediocrity creates excitement. Nothing automatic this year, and the Clemson season reminds me of Ivy League football---every game a maybe. It is hard to understand how a best of the best high school QB could look and move like a retiring Big Ben. The Texas guy will arrive with similar kudos, and hopefully a much higher upside. With 3 year college careers, it is reasonable to assume one of the two will portal out in 2022. The Clemson season is much like DJ's performances---way overrated, from preseason #2 to way back in the pack in an ordinary athletic conference.

I'd like to see an Ivy League team hold almighty Jawja to 3 offensive points.
