Career long punt

Wouldn’t that punt be his career long at that point no matter how far it went? Hope that “career long” doesn’t stand for very long.

51 has been his longest but he punted 2 or 3 times last season averaging around 40yds I believe. AS looked pretty good, I was pleased. That first punt was high and deep and the one before halftime was a nice angle inside the 20 with no return starting around the 10. Special teams did a great job last night. I can't remember the last time we blocked 2 punts in a game. Go Tigers!!!

I want to start by saying I'm proud of DJ. He played hard and made a few nice throws. That being said, "he's earned it" (in reference to all the reasons why DJ should start) seems to keep being applied to everything except his actual play in the game. Great leader, team mate, human, hardworking etc....Alot of people in life are deserving of things they dont recieve or achieve. Cade has a poise and urgency that DJ will never have imo. Worse case scenario they should evenly split time if they want DJ out there that bad. Cade looks like he's already a better QB after just a few months in college. The problem I see is if we get down we are gonna be in trouble. This defense is too special to waste. I trust the coaches to do their job and as long as the DJ experiment doesn't cost us a loss like it did against Pitt & GA directly and NCST indirectly then keep experimenting but DJ can't beat GA or Bama in the same fashion Kelly Bryant couldn't beat Bama. Really happy for the W and the season to be underway. See yall in the Valley, GO TIGERS!!!
