It's really hard to think about M W being 6'4" with his hands, and having over a 1000 yards in a season, but with only 2 TDs!!!!!

Yeah, I missed out on those incredible stats last year...eye-popping 20.4 YPC...but only 2 TDs?

That is redickulous isn't it. Maybe the Chargers should start using Mike more inside the the 20 YL, and maybe they will score more points the easy way, to Mike Williams in the corner of the endzone in jump ball situations!!!!

I just watched his 19-20 highlights. Instead of using him in the Red Zone like they did for 10 TDs in 18-19, they rarely used him there last year.

Like you said, Rivers frequently underthrew him on deep balls, requiring MW to high point the ball (sometimes jumping early and hanging in the air.) He also repeatedly threw high on crossing routes into the middle of the field. Both those tendencies get your WR tackled immediately after making the catch.

But I don't understand not using him more in the Red Zone.

They should throw to him over the middle inside the 20...I've heard he's pretty good at giving piggyback rides into the end zone...

Could be due to all those INTs thrown by Rivers.

Ok....so had a mini panic attack thinking Mike was injured badly.

Glad it seems he will be okay.

The guy made a come back after a broke neck, and he gained over a 1000 yard against NFL DBs, I don't think that a minor shoulder injury would cause Mike to miss a step!!!

Headline spooked me...

Knee jerk reaction.

Really hope he stays healthy

this season. I'm really looking for him to make his mark this year. With noodle arm gone maybe he can be an asset in the red zone. Just like several of yall mentioned his 1000 yd season with only 2 tds. Its just wrong. 6'4 with above average speed, great leaping ability, strong hands, incredible body control, entire zip code catch radius.........2 tds. Really?

So you think going from a future HOF QB to Tyrod Taylor is

an improvement? Do you watch much football?

At first I thought "no way", but you're right. Tyrod is...

...the likely starter with rookie Justin Herbert as their heir apparent waiting in the wings. Will be a tough year for Charger wideouts.
