I’ve never been a fan of this movement. There is so much that can go wrong. Money easily can create major problems.

lead to drastic reforms in college football. The game will never be the same. College athletes are supposed to be about education and providing for their needs while they are playing.
The worst thing is this weakens the NCAA even more probably to the point it really needs to just fold up its tent. How will they oversee this effectively? They can’t. You can already see how much weaker the once powerful NCAA has become both in basketball and football.
College football will essentially just become the minor leagues for the NFL who is getting free services thanks to these universities
