Ah jeez. The plandemic made a dumb world dumber. You folks will give your kids Covid vax but won’t let ‘em play football. An untested and unnecessary kill shot caused this man to have a heart attack. My lord. There’s no hope anymore. The sheep will follow Fauci off a cliff. You people with the vaccine have been warned. Best of luck to ya and god speed.

I'm so tired of the conspiracy theories about the vaccine and COVID. Don't you find it odd that the same people that think this way are the same people that think the vote was stolen, climate change is a hoax, there's some kind of secret cabal, etc. I think it is time for a lot of people to start studying what compels them to believe in conspiracies. Some people believe in them because they are looking for someone to blame for their problems or for negative events that have happened to them. Others may believe in them because they feel like they have a lack of control over their lives and believing in a conspiracy theory can give them a sense of control. Still others may believe in conspiracy theories because they find them more appealing or exciting than accepting more mundane explanations. Finally, some people may believe in conspiracy theories because they have been influenced by others who believe in them, or because they have been exposed to a lot of misinformation or propaganda.

Some random dude with zero credibility puts on twitter that he's hearing FIRST HAND that a fairly high profile CU football player is going to announce a transfer the next day.

Random anonymous internet message board folks speculate it's Mafah, among others.

Other random folks read it and take it as fact that Mafah is transferring.

It never happens, yet others still interpret the whole situation as even credible.

Pathetic world we live in.

just read a headline today about the possibility of a small shift in Jupiter's(?) orbit being a cause for climate change. I didn't read much into it. but we keep getting indications that any change in climate we are finding may well be far beyond our cause or control.

Read another headline indicating German govt studies finding the vaccines may well be quite harmful.

Ive read other articles indicating many questionable acts took place with vote calculations in the last general election

Conspiracy theories? Read the news. you cannot read statements of Schwab, Soros, Gates and others without wondering just what is going on. If Murdaugh can get away with so much for so long as a result of the buddy system, why do you think similar things aren't going on at the national and international level?

Hopefully politicians are telling the truth, but they don't have a good track record. Hopefully scientists promote only what they find and are not influenced by others, but when scientists have widely diverging opinions, how does one accept the statements if one group over another?

If you don't think we are living in strange times, your sense of norm greatly differs from my own.

FBI coordinating with Twitter to censor people who had facts or expressed opinions which were favorable to DJT or harmful to JB: True

‘Heretics’ of Al Gore’s assertions that man made global warming is creating drought in east central Africa (he cites specific region and year vs year decline in that region’s rainfall during the period of time in whic he asserts that global warming had taken place).

Stanford University study reveals that Al Gore’s region of Africa had a DECLINE in temperature during that same interval of time when the drought had occurred.

Heretics / ‘climate deniers’ / conspiracy theorists of Al Gore’s message: The ‘heretics’ were correct (Mr. Gore is a blowhard ignoramus).

Fauci about face #2-B: Covid 19 vax does not prevent the vaccinated from catching Covid 19, but the vax keeps virus from spreading.

Does Clemson require all athletes to get the COVID vax?
If so, then does Clemson require that all students get the vax?
Finally, if all students must get the vax, then does this apply to faculty, staff, and each on-campus employee?

Just asking, since the vax has been proven to neither :

Prevent catching Covid 19
Prevent spreading Covid 19
Prevent Covid 19 hysteria

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: I get it man.

Jan 5, 2023, 6:43 PM

I don’t know about the athletes specifically but I do know Clemson did not require students, faculty, or employees to get the vaccine. Those who did not get the vaccine had to undergo more frequent testing at some times when testing requirements were relaxed for those who had been vaccinated. HTH.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Jan 6, 2023, 7:19 AM

You were not required to get the vaccine but basically you were made to live in hell and get tested basically nonstop by a test that was never designed for this that the creator said should not be used for this and it was ######## insanity because never in history have we treated people this way and the people doing this at the top knew it was all BS from the very beginning.

FYI we are talking about non-stop testing of people showing zero symptoms of being sick.

Clearly you are a brainwashed idiot That believed the hype and hysteria of Covid. No. It’s not a conspiracy. But it is and has been absolute BS from the very beginning! The studies are coming out showing that it was nowhere near as deadly as suspected, which many of us knew because the data proved that. This was ######## from the government from day one and some of us saw it and knew it and got everything right while people like you got everything wrong and wanted to treat other people like second class citizens. And now people like you are trying to rewrite history.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: I get it man.

Jan 6, 2023, 5:36 AM [ in reply to Re: I get it man. ]

They (health professionals) told you in 2020 that the virus would mutate (anyone with an education would have already known that) and vaccines would become less effective at preventing infection and the ability to spread over time. They told you again in 2021 when the vaccine rolled out. When the vaccine was first introduced, it was about 95% effective against infection and greatly reduced the chances an infected person would spread it to others. That changed the longer the virus was mutating and spreading, just like they told you. They also told you that the vaccine would still be effective at preventing serious illnesss even when it didn’t prevent as well against infection and transmission. All of those things are still true today. If you would have done just a cursory reading of the basics of vaccines, you would have known that. Nothing has changed except for the narrative. Although, Biden did erroneously say farther on in the pandemic that the virus would prevent infection and spread after that was true, but he’s not a health professional.

The reason life expectancy has greatly increased over time, is because of vaccines.

Those are the facts, not the narrative pushed by anti-boxers. Google some credible sources from 2020 and get back to me.

This country is full of ignorant people.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Wow. You are brainwashed dude.

Jan 6, 2023, 7:27 AM

The government and the powers that be got everything wrong about Covid from the very beginning and they spread fear and treated people like second class citizens and we’re stripping peoples constitutional rights just like with freedom of speech and other things that are going on. Covid was treated unlike any illness in the history of mankind, and it was all a bunch of mass hysteria promoted by the government, which is in bed with big Pharma. Covid was the largest transfer of wealth from the middle class to the wealthy elite in the history of mankind.

Technically some of what you wrote is correct, but everything you wrote was a gross mischaracterization of what actually happened. You’re one of those people that got everything wrong about Covid and wanted to treat people like second class citizens and call people dumb and ignorant and stupid, including many of the worlds top scientists that were telling you and the government and others you were wrong, and you were, but now you’re trying to rewrite history to make you look like you were right all along which is absolute BS!

There are studies that have been out and more are coming out, showing the excess mortality going on, and the dramatic increase in heart issues for children, and all types of other issues and people have been putting these out and people keep finding ways to excuse them or ignore them. Over the next 20 years more people are going to die from the vaccine in America then died from Covid. And oh by the way, probably less than half. The people that are reported to have died from Covid actually died from Covid. They are discovering that the regular flu is pretty much more dangerous than Covid. Everything surrounding Covid has been a lie And the vast majority of people on this forum got everything wrong, and were wrong from the beginning, and some of us tried saying that because it was always in the data and anyone with even the slightest amount of common sense saw it.

I love people that stick their head in the sand and think the government doesn’t lie every day. That there aren’t people at the top, elites, that are manipulating people and money and governments and the world. Eisenhower actually talked about it in his farewell speech, and I’m not talking just about the military industrial complex. he talked about more than that and those of the forces that have been a problem for years. The government has been engaged in manipulating speech and information in this country for ever but it has been even worse since 2015 and maybe you’re not paying attention to the reporting being done by Glenn Greenwald and Matt Taibbi and Michael Shellenberger and others. All incredibly credible journalist.

I also think it’s hilarious that people like you don’t understand the actual definition of a conspiracy. You act like anyone that believes in conspiracies is crazy. Never mind the fact that conspiracies happen every single day. I guess you missed the part where the government is now basically admitting there are UFOs. Just one example of a conspiracy theory. Why are they so desperate to keep anything regarding Kennedy‘s assassination secret long after it was legally supposed to have been released to the public?

A conspiracy is nothing more than two or more people secretly planning to commit a crime or do something nefarious. That’s every crime committed by more than one person. But people like you have your head up your ### or in the sand and like to discredit people that say anything you disagree with or find distasteful so you call it a conspiracy theory! Let’s make them sound crazy! You’re the one that’s crazy and living in denial.

The more you try to explain it the more you are part of the plan to take over the world . I stopped talking to my brother because he thought I was reporting on him to the Government.

Re: We truly do live in a dumb society.

Jan 6, 2023, 10:05 AM [ in reply to We truly do live in a dumb society. ]

Your statement about dumb people claiming to be about data is interesting, given your apparent lack of understanding of data.

1. I would like to see your data on the number of people who die from organized sports and number of people who die slipping and falling in the shower.

2. Then I would like to see you turn that into a meaningful statistic. When you do so, please consider that far more people take showers than participate in sports. Furthermore, consider that people likely take showers more often than they participate in sports. You need to normalize the number of deaths to the number of opportunities for death in order to have a meaningful statistic.

I'm just speculating here, but I would guess you don't have data and you don't know where to find it and you don't understand the concept of normalizing it.

I will say this, the first line of your post is accurate, just not exactly how you think.

It is a less risk of something like what happened to Hamlin on the field, than it is getting runover by crossing the street!!! It's a huge risk when you sit down to enjoy a meal, and it ends up choking you to death if you're not eating with someone that knows what to do if choking occurs. I know that it's true bc my wife would have died if I hadn't been setting there when she got choke on a piece of steak. I was already away from the table when her friend screamed for me, and I saw what was happening as soon as I looked at her face, and I start the Heimlich maneuver on her and saved her life. Every person reading this should learn how to perform the Heimlich maneuver, I did in a basic 6 hour CPR class 40 years ago that only took 6 hours, 2 hours for a few Saturdays and I have saved two people bc I took the time to learn CPR, and giving someone back their life is the best feeling you'll ever have. It could be a total strange that you help to live, or it could be your child or someone else in your family, and the basic class was 6 hours when I took it, and giving two people their life back made those 6 hours the best 6 hours of my life!!!

God bless you for your timely response and proper use of the Heimlich maneuver to save your wife’s life!

Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

On the other hand, your examples to compare / contrast risk factors are illogical.

The FB player and the physically fit non-FB player both eat big meals and cross the street; their respective risks to life and health are identical.

The FB player bears an additional risk of injury from playing the game.

Also, don't let him swim in a pool, walk across a street, be around household cleaners, or be around power tools. Of course, these are the same people who let their kids chug soda and energy drinks and eat processed foods.

It's an emotional response and he'll probably come to his senses, but the histronics are a bit much. The reason this is such a shock is because of how rarely it happens. Every day, people kiss their spouses and kids, get in a car and leave the house for the last time. Life isn't guaranteed and is best lived to the fullest.

I enjoy skydiving but I have two chutes packed. And it's actually safer than driving.

its definitely an emotional response, and most of the country is having a knee jerk reaction. I knew at the moment of watching the hit that it was something very specific or medically related because you can not get more of a routine play then that. The fact that it happened during prime time Monday night high playoff implication with tens of millions watching exacerbated the reaction. There is more danger in getting on I-85 and driving from here (Anderson) to Greenville cause Lord knows the news reports a tragic accident almost daily. My son loves quite a few sports and im going to encourage him into whichever one he chooses to focus on. My job will be to monitor his health as best i can with his doctor visits and find out about any family traits so that we can worry less.....because we all worry every single day of some form every time we step foot out our homes

Not only did you get it correct but these things happen from time to time and normally because of the fact that they were playing sports and were able to get immediate medical attention. They survived an underlying condition that had it happened when they were driving their car or some other job they probably would have died. It was the fact that it happened while they were playing sports that ended up saving their life!

> I enjoy skydiving but I have two chutes packed. And it's actually safer than driving.

Yes, if you are just comparing the two statistically, but skydiving is in addition to your other activities (such as driving). So adding skydiving still increases your risk of death/injury.

Same argument for football. People swim in pools, walk across the street, etc... but adding in football does add risk.

I'm in no way suggesting that we should ban these activities or wrap our kids in bubble wrap. I just think it's reasonable for a parent to choose other less risky sports/activities.

Approximately 7500 people die in America every day! More people slipped and died in their shower or bath tub last year than have ever died from sports in America.

Frankly, I have been disgusted at the way the media and people have reacted to this. Little children are in every hospital in America dying from cancer but the world had to stop and fixate for days on this one event and make this guy out to be some tragic hero while demonizing football and it will probably end up being non-football related.

It’s another example of the media, sensationalize and hyping something for their own financial gains. And unfortunately given the times we live in to promote their own narrative.

Are you being derisive of DeShawn Williams because he has concerns about a health risk to his child in the event o& a football related injury?

Are equating the overall risk to a person who plays football and who also drives a car to someone who does not play football and who also drives a car?

If this is the basis for your attempt at sarcastic humor, then you need some new material.

Death isn't the only risk he's worried about though. Your body gets really beat up and CTE is a major problem.

You pretty much have to ride a bike or car in daily life. Adding a violent sport like football does add additional risk.

I'm not saying people can't choose to do that, that's totally fine. But it's not unreasonable to decide to play a less violent sport.

This is not an either / or choice.

The FB player, however, bears an additional risk of injury from playing FB.

Interesting take, since it has not been released as to what caused the cardiac arrest why would he blame football, a sport he is currently playing. A soccer ball could have hit him with more velocity than the hot from Higgins. A baseball could do the same if the assumption was the hit caused the cardiac arrest. Wonder if anyone will tie it to any of the myriad of heart ailments associated with the vax's... perhaps he had a pre existing undiagnosed condition, such as an enlarged heart... there are just too many what if's to speculate on what exactly occurred, hopefully he recovers and they can figure out what happened and see if they can prevent it from happening again.

I haven't seen the media say this is all about the evils of football, but I wouldn't be surprised if right-wing media is telling their followers that is what's going on. And... hook, line, sinker.

There are a lot of reasons to not let your kid play football. This is the least of them because it was such a freak accident.

I've little doubt that in a few decades, people will be watching soccer in all these big stadiums. Not because anyone will regulate football away, but because insurance companies won't provide coverage to people playing football.

I don't blame him for his comments or concerns.....It was a very scary thing to watch. That kind of thing makes people say things that may surprise others. That was a FREAK accident that happened on a hit that wasn't near a violent as most other hits are. That was your "struck by lightening" odds. Can it happen when you hear the rumble....yes, but still pretty rare. I personally would be more concerned about the frequency of concussions and permanent brain damage from them. We all hope to live long and enjoy our retirement years, not suffer from Alzheimer's or other cognitive decline. Not to mention ruining one's knees or other of the bodies joints that give us good function and mobility. Those are regular and normal outcomes from playing violent contact sports. You make choices and you live with them.

BTW....I love watching football and REPSPECT those that play it......nothing better than a Clemson Saturday Home game. I am just thankful that neither of my boys elected to play the sport. If they had wanted that, I would have supported their decision...just happy that they didn't. I personally enjoy being 52 and being able to run, work out and stay active. I can't say that for most of my friends that did play football back in college. I hope that my boys can enjoy the same as they age.

Commotio cordis, if that is indeed what caused Hamlin's cardiac arrest, is much more common in other sports like baseball, hockey, and lacrosse than it is in football. Little Leaguers die from it every year. There are valid reasons to not want your son to play football, but this freak incident isn't one of them.

Opinions Can Change

Jan 5, 2023, 2:36 PM

Originally, I thought I'd have no issue with my (future) kids playing football if they desired. Now, not so much when it comes to full blown tackle football.

As a kid, I could only dream of playing CFB -- donning the Clemson colors and being drafted in the NFL. However, despite my love for the game, I can recognize that the toll of football isn't good on the human body. (Though if younger me were offered a scholly I'd 100% take it like probably any of us on this board.)

How many on this board have had knee, back, shoulder, or even head issues from playing football?

Yeah, it ain't a game for sissies but them big boys ain't escaping father time and the effect of the game on the human body so can't fault anyone that played not allowing their children to play tackle football.

The answer is because of the money and because football players are modern day gladiators. The exhilaration of running onto the field with 80K fans cheering has no other comparison in modern society outside of perhaps a performer at a concert.

My guess is his son may want to play for the same reasons he wants to play else someone else will be willing to take the risk given the rewards.

Has there been any info on Hamlin’s heart inflammation?

Jan 6, 2023, 12:50 PM

  • Did Hamlin have COVID? If so, WHEN did he have it and what variant?
  • Did he have the vaccine? If so, WHEN did he take it?
  • Did the doctor’s treat Hamlin with any steroid drugs intended to treat Myocarditis? If so, WHY did they do that?
  • From what I have read, the NFL does NOT mandate the COVID vaccine, but does require daily testing.
  • The COVID vaccine pharma companies are indemnified from liability for adverse effects of the vaccine.
  • There are some statistics related to cardiac arrests in European professional athletes wherein, there were 29 cardiac incidents PER YEAR PRIOR to the COVID vaccine.
  • AFTER the COVID vaccine for athletes that had the vaccine, the cardiac incidents rose to 1,500 over the past two (2) years. Yes, I typed that correctly, 1,500 cardiac related incidents among the same class of people.
  • There have been well documented studies on YOUNG MALES developing Myocarditis AFTER taking the COVID vaccine.

While Hamlin’s medical records are confidential (HIPPA) and he can release any of his personal health records, I’m left to wonder if the NFL and the medical community associated with NFL player treatment, would TRY TO CONCEAL the release of such records IF the evidence showed that the COVID vaccine may have induced Myocarditis in Hamlin.

Imagine the ramifications of such information across the NFL players that had gotten the COVID vaccine.

And, I bring this conversation up, because we simply have not seen this happen in this situation before. And, it is my understanding that physical screenings for NFL players FAR EXCEEDS that given to the average person, and rightly so.
