Considering how much effort and energy a coach and staff have to undertake to start a program, heres to hoping you beat this quickly. Prayers for a healthy recovery. I'm sure that getting back into coaching will help get your mind off whats happening, will hopefully uplift you while you go through all the emotions, and bring you closer to new friends. Going through treatments can be a terrible grind. Finding some stability in a routine will help get you through hard times. Just hoping for good health for you.

I was diagnosed with breast cancer last year. Once I got to the dr. and got it sorted out, I was scheduled for surgery within 3 weeks of finding out. They took "bertha the very small lump" out, and I was back at work two days later. After a few weeks of healing, I did radiation for 15 treatments, and I didn't miss any work.
So depending on how big and what kind of breast cancer it is(hormone fed, etc). the coach could possibly miss only a few days.
You just never know until you get to the drs. and they figure it out. I went to Duke, and they have a great facility there.
Hopefully they found it early, and her journey will be as easy as mine was.

Trusting that this was an early diagnosis Coach should be fine and beat this cancer!
My mother was a 44 year survivor and my 73 year-old sister just went through a small lumpectomy followed with 15 radiation treatments without skipping a beat in her lifestyle three years ago and has received a clean bill of health with each follow-up since!
Praying for you Coach and trusting that the good Lord will provide for your complete healing!

Prayers for you coach. My wife was diagnosed in 03 in one breast. Had lump removed with 6 chemo treatments and 30 rounds of radiation. Then in 09 was diagnosed in the other breast with a different kind of cancer. We decided on a double mastectomy. After a couple of years of reconstructive surgery, all has been well. Checkups have been negative and her confidence builds with each passing year. Allison, may God be with you on this long road.🙏

I’ll never forget the feeling when I found out my mom had it. I’m tearing up thinking about it. She came through it well and is still with us but I’ll never forget how scared I was when she first let us know.

I know too many people with this awful disease and lost my dad to it many years ago. The disease itself is bad enough, but the treatment may even be worse sometimes with all the abuse it dishes out on the body. Hopefully the docs are right and they caught it early enough to rid her of it completely.
I wish I lived closer so I could go to some lacrosse games and more of these great "minor" sports and show my support for these great women and athletes!
