TNET: Clemson football by the numbers at midseason

Clemson football by the numbers at midseason

A less-than-convincing effort off of the bye week at Syracuse meant little improvement if any among the national stats. The lone solely offensive stat in the top-25 comes with tackles for loss allowed (15th; 3.5 per game), where the Tigers did go into the weekend ranked 13th-best in not having runs Read Update »

Those Offensive Offense Numbers Are....

Oct 17, 2021, 2:50 PM

from a brilliant OC...Tony Elliott .

Clemson went from 438 yards against BC to 314 against Syracuse.

If we had another week off Clemson would average 275 yards of offense on the next game.

Dabo is gonna' ride that horse. He won't change.,,just to win games .

Yeah, Tony suddenly forgot how to coach offense

After finishing in the top 12 offenses for 5 of 6 years (minus Kelly Bryant year), including being the #10 offense and coaching the best passing offense in Clemson history last year, he suddenly forgot how to coach. Yeah that makes tons of sense.

Where do you people come from?

Hate to say it, but we would be in the top 10 with Kelly Bryant at QB.
Same type of team we had in 2017, but we put points on the board, and the D kept us in every game, and moved the chains.
He was not a consistent passer, but he moved the chains. A lot of fans forget that season.

I hope we see DJ5 step up for the rest of the season.
We need to run the ball first, then run play action passes to move the chains.
If the easy pass is not there, the QB runs for the 1st down. Worked great for Taj…..
Deep passes occasionally.
We are killing the Defense with our quick 3 and out series’s where we only run a minute off the game clock….
I love our traditional quick strike offense, but we are not executing and putting our D on the field for most of the game.

Go Tigers, Beat Pitt…….
